The feisty offspring of a music teacher and a concert promoter, Heidi Howe is an award-winning singer and songwriter who performs for folks of all ages.
Heidi began writing and playing songs for adult audiences when she was barely an adult herself. Now, with many favorable reviews, television appearances, national concerts and five albums under her belt, she also devotes much of her energy to bringing fun, rewarding musical experiences to children and families. Her work has been praised in many publications such as No Depression Magazine and The Chicago Parent Magazine, and her music has been broadcast on radio stations all over the world.
In addition to recording her own music, Heidi has also worked with other musicians and record labels (sonaBLAST! Records and Ear x-tacy Records) to produce albums that benefit charitable organizations. Her efforts to share her nationally celebrated children's CD Give a Hootenanny! Twangy Tunes About Lovin' the Earth and donate books to libraries garnered her an E-chievement award from the E-town Radio Show as well as kudos from Al Gore.
Heidi holds a Child Development Associate Credential and contributed to the first artist educator training curriculum designed by The Kentucky Center in Louisville, Kentucky. She also created curriculum for the Kentucky Educational Television Arts Toolkit that is used in Kentucky schools. Heidi has served as a member of the Kentucky Music Educators Association.
Wee Rock! is the trademarked name of Heidi Howe's music education and entertainment services. Heidi brings music to preschools, as well as to families via parent/child music classes, concerts and parties.
In addition, Heidi is the creator of The Wee Rock! Channel on YouTube. The Wee Rock! Channel features videos of Heidi performing songs and fingerplays for kids. Check out The Wee Rock! Channel below.
